CYCLING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING

The Dolomites are a true paradise for cyclists and mountain bikers: a magnificent setting with challenging passes, beautiful descents and trails.

DAY TRIPS IN THE AREA

The most famous tours are the Giro d'italia and the Maratona dles Dolomites. The route of the Giro passes some years Colle Santa Lucia on the way to the Passo Giau. This pass with its impressive views is one of the toughest climbs in the Maratona.

The organised tour Maratona dles Dolomites is a challenge for the amateur cyclists. The route passes the famous passes. If the Maratona is too much of a challenge, then the Sella Ronda Bike Day in June and September is an option.

If you prefer to create your own routes, our house is a good starting point for day trips along Passo Giau, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi, Passo Valparola, Passo Staulanza, Passo Duran and many more.

The Val Fiorentina has an extensive network of mountain bike routes including ‘il tour dell ‘uomo di Mondeval, la Strada della Vena and al cospetto del Civetta’. One of the most challenging mountain bike treks in the Alps, the Transalp route, runs almost literally past our house.
