From Casa Tie, you can set out on a day trip to Monte Pore, enjoying impressive views of the Dolomites and the region’s unique flora and fauna. Another option is a walk from Passo Giau to Rifugio Averau and Nuvolau, where marmots can often be spotted.
The famous Alta Via 1 (“Alpine Road”) passes near many local massifs and mountain huts, including Civetta, Monte Pelmo, Croda da Lago, Lagazuoi, and Fanes Nature Park. Within a short drive, you’ll find trails leading to waterfalls, mountain huts (rifugi), alpine lakes (laghi), and peaks. For adventurous guests, several Via Ferrata (“Klettersteige”) and climbing routes are also easily accessible by car.
Don’t miss the stunning turquoise glacier lake at the foot of Monte Sorapis, or a visit to Rifugio Onorio Falier near Marmolada.
